Our facility is second to none. We have spacious stalls, gorgeous pastures, lighted arenas and much more. We have a saying around here, “Always improving!”. We are constantly improving, cleaning and maintaining an immaculate facility.

Horses are herd animals. They are meant to be able to mingle and graze. While we do have several stalls, they are used for feeding, waiting for appointments, or recovering from an injury. We do not believe in over crowding. A minimum of one half acre is allowed per horse. Horses can be in a paddock or pasture with one to five horses and are placed by need and temperament. The horses graze on improved pastures that are well maintained, alfalfa and quality hay. We feed Healthy Edge, but can also accommodate special diets.
At Southern Run Ranch, we're more than just a horse boarding facility - we're a community of horse lovers. Join us for our regular events and get to know other riders who share your passion!
Each boarder is assigned a locking cabinet to store belongings, bridle and halters. Each cabinet has an adjacent saddle rack that has a bar for saddle pads as well.
We have 2 concrete wash racks for busy times and concrete treatment stocks.
We are very fortunate with excellent footing in our arenas. Our arenas drain well and dry quickly. There’s enough room for many riders without feeling crowded.
Our small arena is the size of most facilities only arena. We mostly use this arena as a warm up arena, obstacle practice and desensitizing. This arena dries so fast. Wecan have a big storm in the morning and still be able to lope that evening. We are riding when most people say they are too wet.
We love our round pen! It’s large, so the horses can really use their bodies and it dries quickly just like the arenas. It provides a safe place to learn and train.
We provide a nice, high and dry area for you to store your trailer. Our large circle drive makes it easy to get in and out.
Our club room is above the barn. It has a mini kitchen, living area, dining/learning area, bed and full bath. It has WiFi and is climate controlled. We love to celebrate, learn and relax here.
We have 7 large stalls. Most are 15x16, 2 are 13x15. We do not leave horses in the stalls long term. They are for feeding, treating and waiting for appointments. Every horse gets fed twice a day whether in a stall or in a paddock/pasture. Each horse is monitored to make sure they are getting their full meal and owner provided supplements. We can also administer medicine if necessary.
All of our pastures have plenty of safe shelter and shade trees. We clean out the shelters and drag pastures weekly. Water troughs are dumped and cleaned regularly. What sets our place apart is that the horses are never stuck in mud. Our property drains and dries quickly. Your horses will not have to live in dark, gumbo mud and be forced to live in a stall full time while it dries.
Dr. Dabareiner, our equine veterinarian, visits the ranch about once a month. She specializes in sports medicine and is thoroughly invested in the health and well-being of the horses at the ranch.
We have 2 farriers that visit regularly. Both are friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. You are also welcome to invite your own farrier to the ranch. The farriers love it here as we provide a safe, clean, level location for them to work complete with fans and heaters,
Our equine dentist is one of the best in his field. He comes every 2-3 months. Regular dentistry is imperative for a happy, healthy horse, You are also welcome to invite your own dentist.
Southern Run Ranch is equipped with state of the art rehabilitative equipment like the Equivibe. This unit can be used pre and post work out or as part of a healing and recovery program.
We also have a 3 in 1 blanket that provides an all over PEMF treatment, body massage , and heating feature. In this photo a cold laser is being used on this horses TMJ while it relaxes in the blanket. Both promote healing, relaxation and pain relief.
We have multiple rehabilitative modalities here at the ranch. In this picture we have a small PEMF unit that is worn on the horse’s neck. We have red light therapy, a tens unit and multiple massage tools. Our boarders are trained how to use each tool before application. The owner checks in as needed to help assess problem areas and check
